About Cibele

Welcome to the Corta na Real Blog

Here, you’ll find delicious bakery recipes, moments shared in the kitchen with friends and family, occasional reflections, and maybe even a bit of poetry and prose. I’ve always found comfort in the act of cooking and baking, especially when I’m pulling a fresh batch of cookies from the oven. While I love the end result – a house filled with sweet aromas and flavors – I’ve come to realize that the process is much more than just mixing flour, butter, and eggs.

This space began as a way to document my passion for bakeries and cookies, but also as a culinary diary that I wanted to create for my family. Over time, I realized that the kitchen is about more than just preparing dishes; it’s about the connections we make while preparing and sharing food.

There’s a deep value in what we create. The meals and sweets we make for our loved ones aren’t just about eating, but about the moments we share. Each slice of cake and every piece of bread we break carries memories that transcend the present moment, connecting us with the past and the present in a unique way.

For me, this is the true meaning of communion: the act of sharing and receiving, of creating something with both hands and heart.

About Me

My name is Cibele Brito, I’m 33 years old, and I live in Rio de Janeiro, a vibrant city full of life and flavors. I’m completely passionate about cookies and bakeries, a love that has been with me for as long as I can remember. After years of practice, experimentation, and many batches, I now feel truly at home in the kitchen. Cooking brings me immense peace and indescribable joy, and that’s the feeling I aim to share through this blog.

At home, we bake a lot. It’s a ritual that connects me to my roots and to the people I love. The kitchen has undoubtedly become my most cherished space for creation.

My Work

I’ve had the privilege of having my work featured on various platforms and have also collaborated with a number of brands and projects focused on artisan bakery and pastry.
